About Community Visioning
The Tampa Bay Regional Planning Council offers Community Visioning assistance to local governments within its 6-county region of Citrus, Hernando, Hillsborough, Manatee, Pinellas and Pasco counties. The Council provides assistance to communities in developing vision and strategic plans for the future. These are accomplished through Preferencing Workshops, Consensus Building Workshops, surveys, etc., to develop the core values that can be used as the driving force in the community’s future planning efforts. In addition, the Tampa Bay Regional Planning Council has assembled a team of consultants to assist the Council in its community visioning and planning activities. The consultants have been contracted to be available to assist the Council and local governments on an “as-needed” basis.
Council staff (and its prequalified firms) can perform tasks such as the following:
- vision planning;
- community preference exercises;
- gaming exercises;
- meeting facilitation;
- urban sketches or schematics;
- landscape sketches or schematics;
- imaging tools, renderings, etc.;
- other services such as recommendations, reports, and plan document writing and preparation.
